Cakes by Kathy offers cake design, custom party favor design, custom centerpieces, and classes in cake and cookie decorating.

Cakes by Kathy is also a business in development, developing recipes for "from-scratch” foods featuring local products, including custom sugar cookies, custom cakes, wedding cakes, and specialty preserves.  We also plan to offer a lne of goods with 100% certified organic ingredients.   

Kathy’s background includes degrees in design and art history.  One of her specialties is designing a wedding cake to reflect the bride’s attire, and she also works as an artist.  A member of an organic foods co-op, she grows organic fruit, berries, and grapes on her small farm in southern Rensselaer County.
